What is this Blog?

Have you ever wondered why Korean Dramas are popular in other countries? It's because they are absolutely amazing! If you've ever wanted to start watching Korean Dramas but never knew where to start or were interested in what makes them so popular, then you have come to the right place! I'll be posting new reviews of K-Dramas that I have watched weekly. I will talk about my reactions to the many dramas and also my favorite songs from the drama OST. To make it even more fun I also include a GIF (from the drama) that best explains my reaction to the drama.

What does Kordra mean?

Kordra is the short version of "Korean Drama". My brother was nice enough to create this term for my blog.

Why did you create this blog?

There are many reasons as to why I decided to make this blog. I think the main thing is that I just wanted to tell someone about all of the K-Dramas that I have watched. My family and friends have no interest in Korean Entertainment (their fault because they are missing out!), so I have never had the chance to talk to someone about a show that I watched. This blog gives me the opportunity to express all of the emotions and feelings that I felt while watching these shows.

Another reason for creating this blog is to try and persuade people to branch out. A lot of people disregard K-Dramas before even trying it because they can't stand not being able to understand what the actors are saying and having to read [the subtitles] instead of watching. I strongly believe that this is not an excuse. When people tell me this as an excuse I answer them with a quote from "Parasite" Director Bong Joon-Ho, "Once you over come the one-inch tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more amazing films [and TV shows]."

Why are the dramas not rated?

I do not believe in ratings. For someone to say a show or movie is "5 stars" or "1 star" is subjective. I think everyone should make there own opinions about shows and movies. This blogs purpose is just to give people my genuine opinion on the drama. And hopefully that will make other people want to watch it. 

When did you start this blog?

I started this blog March of 2020. So if you are visiting this blog within the first few months thank you! And I promise I am going to try to get up as many genuine reviews that I can. :)
